Triathlon Cave Tour

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

I mentioned a while back that Sam and I were moving to a new apartment and I got to take over a whole room to turn into my own tri cave. After a few weeks of organizing and decorating, I think I’m just about done and ready for the great unveiling!

I’ve got my own special place to do a lot of my training through the winter, stink up the room, throw my gear in big piles and collect my race numbers all over the walls. I think I could get used to this. I’m not sure how I got by without it. I’ve got a medicine ball, balance ball and pullup bar that I’ll break out once I get full swing back into base training next month.

Am I missing anything here? Anything that you guys think I need to make room for?

  1. Dude, Enjoy it before you have kids. I once had a Tri Cave but now it is being turned into a baby nursery.

The Room Looks Great. Very Cool!

Haha — I would be nervous having a hamburger pillow in my tri-cave — nervous I would try to eat it after a workout on the trainer!

That is the prettiest tri-cave ever! Enjoy!!

I’m with Sonja. That’s a girlie man cave.

Decorations in the tri cave = numbers! C’mon, you should have enough by now to plaster at least one whole wall! And pictures from races, training buddies, etc.

jamie, i can blow up a large picture of me into poster size if you would like that? heheheheheheee

  5. John says:

Looks great… the only thing I would add is a mini-bar and some girls of tri posters!

  6. Jamie says:

Haha. The candle is to ward off some of the man-stink that was building up. It is pumpkin scented. It was the manliest candle that I could find….

Dude, I expected more manliness in your tri cave. Your curtains and candles and stuff are way nicer than my living room. I’m thinking you need to snag the Bree Wee or Amanda Lovato poster from Rev3 this year. Maybe stick it up right in front of your fancy Cervelo???

You crack me up big time!

  8. Jamie says:

Yup. My dad brought it back from Margaritaville in Key West a long time ago. Not a very comfortable pillow, but it is funny so I keep it around.

  9. Kim says:

    a tri-cave, not a hamburger pillow i mean.

  10. Kim says:

is that…a hamburger pillow? definitely needed in the tri-cave ;)
